8 Most Advanced Testing Tools (Cloud-Based)
In the beginning, I wanted to write about each testing tool individually but I have not used it yet so I can honestly provide a full of information article about each one. But while waiting for the chance to test and understand those tools from my own perspective, I did some research on each tool and hopefully you get an idea of what they actually are and what they are good for.
- SAUCELABS : it allows users to run tests in the cloud on more than 700 different browser platform, operating system and device combinations, providing a comprehensive test infrastructure for automated and manual testing of desktop and mobile applications using Selenium, Appium, and JavaScript until testing frameworks.
- PERFECTO : it is the leading platform for web and mobile applications. Access the cloud for end-to-end testing from anywhere in the world. Test on real mobile devices, VMs, real Macs, and simulator and emulators. Achieving successful test automation of advanced scenarios at scale.
- LOADFOCUS : it is a load test web or mobile applications and APIs with thousands of concurrent users. Measure page load time and get insights to optimise websites performance. Build functional tests and automate regression manual tests of your website.
- CROSSBROWSERTESTING : involves comparing and analyzing the behavior of your website in different browser environments. It helps ensure that your website delivers an optimal user experience, independent of the browser used to access it.
- KOBITON : it is a mobile device testing platform that accelerates the testing and delivery of mobile applications by offering live device testing in the cloud.
- BROWSERSTACK : it is a cloud web and mobile testing platform that provides developers the ability to test their websites and mobile applications across on-demand browsers, operating systems and real mobile devices. They have four primary products: Live, App Live, Automate and App Automate.
- TESTIM : it is an automated testing platform for fast authoring of AI-powered stable tests and tools to help you scale quality.
- KATALON : it is designed to create and reuse automated test scripts for UI without coding. Katalon Studio allows running automated tests of UI elements, including pop-ups, iFrames, and wait-time. The tool can be launched on Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux.
So these small description of each tool that I found the most advanced testing tools, you got to know that there are a lot others too, its just perspective-wise I self compelled to share these because each one of them give you an extra notch in your final result.
But to confirm all these perspectives and speculation it might take time to test them all out, because as you can see these tools do not have the same type of functionalities, some target APIs, some does automation, web browser testing and etc. So for us to get it done the right way will still have to do more research on the ways of testing it too and compare results.
Small or Minor bugs can cause real business problems so there is nothing called “It’s so minor, customers might not notice it” these statements can come from anyone except tester’s mouth because it’s our job to provide the highest quality. That is why testers sweat the small stuff.
