The Occasion
This Valentine’s Day, my wife, Olena Chyrkova, surprised me with a gift that every tech enthusiast would appreciate: a business-grade Omada by TP-Link Wi-Fi 7 access point. It was the final piece of a much larger project to ensure my home office stays online no matter what happens.
The Problem
Working from home has completely shifted how I view my daily internet connection. I used to rely on a single internet service provider and a high-end consumer Archer BE6500 Wi-Fi 7 router. My primary Fidium Fiber connection is incredibly stable, but depending on just one physical line still left me vulnerable to unpredictable local outages. It became clear that I needed a true redundant failover solution to protect my daily productivity.
The Impact
Outages always seem to happen at the most inopportune moments when you least expect them. Even with a highly stable primary connection, a brief drop caused immense stress and completely disrupted…
