A couple of months ago, I started facing this problem with my laptop. The bottom-most icon was getting selected automatically on the home screen, the bottom-most suggestion was being searched when I typed something in the address bar , and PDFs jumping to the last page :) . Initially, I thought it was some problem with my touchpad. I tried disabling the touchpad with the Fn + F3 shortcut since I had a touchscreen laptop, but the problem wasn’t resolved.

Next, I had an intuition that the problem could be with the keyboard. After trying quite hard, I visited this website https://keyboardchecker.com/. And guess what I found? The Pg Dn key was being pressed by default.

Next, I started looking up solutions for how to disable the key temporarily. That’s when I came across Microsoft PowerToys, particularly the Keyboard Manager utility. This utility helps you redefine the keys on your keyboard. For example, you can exchange the letter A for the letter B on your keyboard. When you press the A key, a B will be inserted.

So, I mapped the Pg Dn key to disable it .. Phew! atlast the problem was solved.

Checkout more about the keyboard manager here , You can accomplish many more awesome things using it…
